Permian fossils

New fossils from Tanzania and Zambia are rewriting what we know about life just before Earth’s largest mass extinction. The finds include saber-toothed predators, burrowing plant eaters and giant amphibians, giving scientists a rare look at ecosystems in southern Pangea during the late Permian period.
