NASA Reconnects with Voyager 2 After Two Weeks of Silence.

NASA’s Voyager 2 spacecraft has started sending signals again after being silent for about two weeks. The spacecraft lost contact on July 21 due to a wrong command, but now it’s back in communication with Earth.

Voyager 2 is far from Earth, about 12.3 billion miles away, and it’s exploring the space between stars. The spacecraft’s signal was found again on August 1 by NASA’s Deep Space Network, which is a group of radio antennas.

NASA fixed the problem by sending a command to make the spacecraft reposition its antenna towards Earth. This command was sent as a “shout” since Voyager 2 is so far away. NASA’s team was relieved and happy to hear from the spacecraft again.

Voyager 2, along with its twin Voyager 1, was launched in 1977 to explore our solar system. These spacecraft have provided valuable data about planets, moons, and the outer edges of our solar system. Even after more than 45 years in space, both spacecraft continue to send important information back to Earth.
